A graduate of Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), an International Coach Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and a certified Life Mastery Consultant with the Brave Thinking Institute, Kristen leads groups and one-on-one clients utilizing the Core Energy Coaching™ approach, a process that helps tap into your inner purpose and passion, as well as connect you with your outer goals and tasks to bring about extraordinary and sustainable results.
She also brings in the work of Mona Miller, her longtime teacher & coach, which offers a process that cuts through mental constructs and goes directly to the heart of the matter, saving a tremendous amount of time and creating understanding that allows forward movement. As a life long learner, she is committed to ongoing personal and professional development. Kristen has been a member of Rich Litvin’s Salon, a group of powerful, high achieving coaches who are transforming the world.
Kristen is the founder of The Samburu Project, a grassroots nonprofit organization that has been providing clean, safe drinking water as a foundation to community development in northern Kenya since 2005. Since inception, the organization has brought clean drinking water to over 100,000 people. Before launching The Samburu Project, Kristen worked for a decade at Paramount Pictures as a creative executive making half hour and one hour television shows. Her professional life began in the classroom as a Teach for America corps member where she was privileged to teach elementary school children in Houston and Los Angeles.
Her formative years were spent in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, raised in a blended family as one of ten children. Just after her 18th birthday, she flew the coop to attend college at Pennsylvania State University. While in Happy Valley, she studied Speech Communication and Business.
She is a devoted Iyengar yoga student. Her daily practice is to make a positive impact in the world. Kristen and her 14-year-old son live in Santa Monica, California.
